Popping The Battery Into Your Concord Ladies Watch
A luxury watch is a valuable thing, and few are more luxurious than the products made by Concord. Whether it's a Concord Mariner watch or one of the elegant concord ladies watch pieces, a Classic Concord timepiece is a valuable item that deserves to be treated as such.
Even some of the most passionate of watch enthusiasts aren't aware that Concord Watch is actually a part of the Movado watch group. This group involves a plethora of well-known watch companies, including (but not limited to ) ESQ, Ebel, Coach, Hugo Boss, Juicy Couture, Lacoste, and Tommy Hilfiger. It's unarguably a very prestigious list of names, but in this writers opinion there is no doubt which is the most prestigious when it comes to watches.
Because of how valuable a Concord Mariner watch is, it's important you take care of it properly. And statistics show that a majority of watch-accidents occur during the removal and/or the reinstallation of the battery.
Let us first remind our readers that most jewelers or watch stores will provide battery-removal service for you, often with a small fee. That being said, it's a relatively simple project if you know what you're doing, and reading the rest of this article and provoding the service on your own will undoubtedly be easier, cheaper, and more convenient than going all the way to the watch shop.
The first step is to place your Concord Mariner watch on face down on a piece of cloth or other soft surface that won't cause any damage. On the back plate there should be a small groove in between the watches casing and plate. This is called a "snap-back," and it is a feature present in a high majority of Concord watches.
Using either a small screwdriver or, if possible, a blunted knife, you will remove the snap-back cover. Stick the screwdriver or knife into the groove previously discovered, and by slightly and gently twisting inside the groove the back plate will easily pop off. However, it's imperative you be extraordinarily careful during this step, as this is the moment that most often ends up with your Concord ladies watch getting scratched.
The next thing you'll do is review the clip that is holding your watches battery in place. In most cases you will discover a spring clip, which can be removed with plastic tweezers or even your fingertips. However, on occasion the clip may be screwed into place, in which case you will require a properly sized screwdriver to remove it. Make sure that once you pop in the new battery, you return the clip (whether it was screwed in or not) to its original position.
